Californ ia gold rush, late 1800' ;s: A gun slin g ing bounty hu nter (Mor timer) travels deep into the mountains to find a dea dly Apache warrior (Brother Wolf) who i s wa n t ed by the law . A lo n g th e way he pas ses through a gold min ing Town. The miners help di rect Mortimer to the Apa c he and send him on hi s way.
Mortimer enters the fo r est and begins to track t he Apache. Back in town, the mine rs un-earth a n anc ient me teor . They use thei r pick axe s to cra ck it open. A se cti on of the meteor splits ap art and spor es explode out of it. The spore su rround and infect the entire population of the mining camp. They are t ransformed into ravenous mutants.
After a vicious ba t tle agains t the Apa che warrior , Mortimer exits th e forest with h is prisoner in shackl es . They hike back to the mining town to find the m selves surro u nded by a horde of blood thirsty mutants. Now Mortimer the gun slinger an d Brot her Wolf the Warrior must join together to surv ive the mutant horde s. What e nsues is a bl oodbath of horr or for the De ad and the Damned.
